GRAND TRAX DATABASE BRINGS VALUE TO THE BEEF
INDUSTRY
February 16, 2001 (Norfolk, Nebraska) APEIS Corporation
president, Van H. Neidig, announced today the development of the
Grand Trax database.
The Grand Trax database is specifically designed for Grand
Laboratories customers, offering 24 standardized reports that can be
customized to fit an operator’s specific needs.
Dr. Bob Parker, Head of Veterinary Services for Grand
Laboratories, believes that both veterinarians and producers will
benefit from this technology. “Grand Trax will allow the
veterinarian to become more involved in the consultative services
that they offer to their clients. This will also allow
producers to evaluate their operations and help in the
decision-making process.
CattleTrax, the advanced animal tracking system developed by
APEIS Corporation, offers several ways to collect data on each
individual animal, including an online data entry system and a
hand-held computer with an attached radio-frequency identification (RFID)
scanner. The hand-held computer also contains a modem, which
can be connected to a standard analog telephone line to upload any
collected data to the central APEIS database. Once data has
entered the APEIS database, it can be immediately accessed by its
owner via the Internet from anywhere in the world.
For more information about the Grand Trax or CattleTrax systems,
please contact the APEIS Corporation by calling 402-379-9487 or
visit www.apeis.com.
Located in Norfolk, Nebraska, the APEIS Corporation has developed
and maintains a fully integrated cattle tracking system for today’s
beef producers.
